Javier Posted August 9, 2007 Report Share Posted August 9, 2007 FIDE has just made the following announcement: The President of the Olympic Council of Asia, His Excellency Sheikh Ahmad Al-Fahad Al-Sabah has informed the World Chess Federation (FIDE) on the decision of the OCA to include chess into the programme of the Asian Games 2010 which will be held from 12 to 27 November 2010 in Guangzhou, China. FIDE will assist in the organization of the Asian games in order to ensure the complete success of this big sport event.
